Some Thoughts: November

It's strange sometimes how I feel like time flies so fast specially at near end of the year.

Now, already November. Interesting, isn't it?

Writing this at midnight past 2am.

Yes, I'm already sleepy but just feel like to blog out something I guess.

I just done with my 2 days booth, which I'm selling my handmade accessories and jewellery - handcrafted by me, each one of them. And alhamdulillah this time was the best one. And I got home by Saturday night, and Sunday where whole body aches.. Still not getting used to it? I don't know but more to my body health conditions I think..

Currently, while booth or which I called "boothing" become my main focus, I too, still, reading books that I got for myself and current reading - "When You Think You're Falling: Holding On To God's Mercy To Keep Going" by Ameera Aslam, a Singaporean born author. And also, I started back with gardening few days ago, after long time...

Well... Raining still the season, only early day there's sunshine. I'll be sow new seeds soon. And before I forget, currently too I'm writing review and thought for the book "Overthinking Tapi Buat-buat OK" by Aqilah Masri published by IMAN Publication.

Book: Overthinking Tapi Buat-buat OK By Aqila Masri

I finally finished reading "Overthinking Tapi Buat-buat OK" by Aqila Masri (Overthinking But Acted OK) , published by IMAN Publication, last October. And let's see what my thoughts on this one. First of all, my view is just as from an artist, crafter and blogger, and as a reader... When this book published, to be honest I got caught by the title. I didn't plan on to get it like seriously, because I have this feeling to put aside what I can relate to the title. The word - "overthinking"... But as time past, I started to have the image of this book in mind, and it's repeating. So I feel it and said, "I need to have it" with wondering what the topics will be within. It was more like a calling from the book I could say. And early last month - September - I got it. First of all, the cover illustration - pretty. I love how the choice of the style from the artist. The work is beautiful. And give the visual to what's the book about. At the same tim...

Book: Asrama By Muhammad Fatrim

On January this year, FIXI emailed me for a commission. It took me few minutes to accept the offer. As the result, almost a week later I received their books together with one I got commissioned for last year - my first one from other author. I got 4 books in total, 3 of them by another author. I know, I need to read them 3, started with the first one, best selling ASRAMA by Muhammad Fatrim. And here I'm going to put some of my thought about it. For first, I'm honoured to be part of the book, for the new cover I got commission for last January, and thank you so much for the opportunity FIXI.  This was my most challenging one when come to illustrate for a cover. And while in process, I got little bit pressure than before. Since it needs to be 'girls' vibe and feel but dark. I did my best although a bit I feel like if I can deliver it much better.. But, so far, most fans and FIXI's family like it, I'm ok with that. Alhamdulillah.. The new cover on the right in red...

Artwork: Square Sketchbook

This morning I officially use my new sketchbook. New, as I bought it earlier this month and not use it, until this morning. Officially use it finallyyy I decided to use this for my Dark Figurative artwork, which a sketch of my expression of my feelings in the moment. This sketch I usually sketch out in size of square. And mixed with abstract (I was an abstract artist before switching to details).  I tend to have this 'too careful' even when comes to sketch out whatever I do feel like. I feel like it's my biggest challenge when come to myself as an artist, and maybe it's related to my personal daily life.. But today's sketch starts like that, but I tried to let it go and just go with whatever I feel like. With my mug of Milo, my favourite drink, using ballpen, this sketchbook finally set it purpose.
